What is the most special thing in Riverside, California?

I love Riverside's location. I can be sifting sand through my toes along several different coastal beache s, listening to the surf, enjoying a seaside meal feeling Sun's warmth awaiting the glory of her sparklin g sunset as she falls into the depths of the Pacific's Azure blues. Watching beautiful boats either enjoying the landscape, whale watching, or fishing. Or maybe just listening to the body or wave surfers delighting in the gorgeous cresting waves just before they crash upon the beach. As they do the little one's giggles fill the air a s the tide is chasing them back to the edges dry sand where they have collected shells and have half built san d castles. Who doesn't love the West Coast Beaches? On the other hand, I just have to look out my window an d mountain peaks in most directions will beckon my visit year round. Often glistening with snow, speaking to me of warm fire places, cozy cottages, and trees fragrant with forest filled wonders. Greens of spectrum 's mixed with blues and purples. Mountains homes from small cabins to the extravagant design. Chimney s billowing instilling a sense of comfort and hometown feeling. Mountain lakes crystal blues offering sports o r pleasure or just a perfect picture postcard to gaze upon. Mountain villages to saunter through offering tast y morsels or fine dining with specialized gift shopping for just that special memory of my visit. Still, in anoth er direction I might choose symphonies, playhouse's, theatre, museums, art festivals, meditation garden s, Hollywood, sport arenas, concert venues, cultures surrounds me everywhere. Cuisine, hotels, shopping fo r every taste, Disneyland, Knotts Berry Farm, Sea World, Aquariums, Universal Studios, La Brea Tar Pitts, Th e Rose Parade…and almost each of these only ten to forty-five minutes from my home, Riverside. - Sharla g.
