Susan Gallagher was the first Queen of Paden City in the "King and Queen contest". I was her King in the 60's. - David Morgan


Mills Roy Morgan lived at 230 N. 7th ave. He built a house at 230 N. 7th ave rear, where one of his sons Dorsey Morgan lived with his wife Elettra Morgan, and sons Daniel, Roger, and David. Mills worked for the B&O railroad. Dorsey worked various jobs in town. Elettra worked at Corning Glass - David Morgan
The road in front of 230 N. 7th ave was paved with concrete in the 60's. A completion date can be found in the concrete in front of this house property. Before this period the town would spray used oil on the roads to keep the dust down. Smudge pots would be seen on the road to mark holes in the road - David Morgan
People shopped at the Food Land store at south 4th ave. This store was known as Schraders in the 60's. The Baptist church purchased this property. - David Morgan
