The racial makeup of the town is 98.41% White, 0.09% African American, 0.33% Native American, 0.23% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 0.93% from two or more races. 0.89% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 855 households out of which 30.3% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 62.5% are married couples living together, 6.0% have a female householder with no husband present, and 28.0% are non-families. 22.0% of all households are made up of individuals and 8.7% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.51 and the average family size is 2.91.
