The Georges is a boutique inn located in the heart of Lexington Virginia offering 18 casually luxurious guest rooms and suites in an environment that carries the history of the last few centuries but with every modern amenity and convenience of today. The Inn is home to Haywoods a casual and lively piano bar offering Southern bistro cuisine as well as TAPS a lobby lounge serving upscale pub fare. Named in honor of two great Georges with deep ties to Lexington George Washington and George Marshall as a node of respect to both Washington and Lee University and Virginia Military Institute the Georges is owned by two native Virginians and highschool sweethearts including a graduate of VMI who checked into one of the buildings the night before beginning school. Our owners have long loved this place... its charm its history and its amazing location. A few years ago they knew the inn was in need of loving new owners and they were all too happy to oblige. They left no stone unturned in bringing our two guest buildings up to the highest level of modern comfort and convenience. Just as the Georges after whom we are named were different none of the 18 guest rooms is alike. Each is custom designed and furnished to make you feel at home whether you are escaping for a night the weekend or as long as you would like. While there is no such thing as a standard room in our buildings all accommodations come with the following amenities custom furnishings and unique artwork from local artists luxury Frette bed linens and Peacock Alley blankets gorgeous views from every room elegant bathrooms with custom tile work walkin showers heated floors and towel warmers Frette bath linens and luxurious bath robes complimentary highspeed wireless internet access large flatscreen HDTVs iPod docking stations gourmet breakfast coffee and afternoon refreshments provided daily and newspapers delivered daily.
