The Inn at Ragged Edge is a boutique Bed and Breakfast located in rural south central Pennsylvania providing visitors with luxurious accommodations and first class service while surrounded by beautifully landscaped grounds and nature. This historic railroad mansion was built in 1900 by Colonel Moorehead C. Kennedy. As guests enter through the huge double doors into the grand entrance hall they are immediately taken aback by the intricately carved chestnut staircase and floor to ceiling picture windows. The exquisite mahogany paneled living room and dining room areas provide the perfect venue for many activities including weddings bridal showers birthday parties reunions business meetings and any other gathering. Climbing the wide open staircase to the second and third floors guests are introduced to nine beautifully appointed rooms each with private bathrooms climate control and flat screen TVs offering guests the perfect home away from home. Several rooms have working fire places and whirl pool tubs to enhance guests stay. The best bedding and linens available and fluffy white robes provide the ultimate in cozy comfort. Free WiFi allows you to stay connected if necessary and plenty of free parking is available. A full gourmet breakfast is provided each morning in the dining room and everything possible is done to accommodate special diet restrictions and food allergies. A large wrap around porch and shaded outdoor patio overlooking the stream and nature trail provide beautiful locations to take a break from the busyness of life. Located only minutes from major civil war battlefields Gettysburg and Antietam the Inn attracts both the seasoned history enthusiasts and those seeking to discover our history for the first time. Caledonia state park and the Appalachian Trail provide plenty of hiking and outdoor activities. Local golf courses ski resorts fishing streams antique shops and restaurants ensure everyone will find something to do nearby.
