The Captain Lindsey House was built in 1835 by a Maine Sea Captain as his home. This Harbor District Federal-style Inn combines the attributes of a boutique hotel and an inn right in the heart of Rocklands waterfront district. With our central location you can make the Captain Lindsey House Inn your headquarters for immersion into the unique Maine experience. Nine air-conditioned rooms offer luxurious beds with European down comforters desks comfortable reading chairs Wi-Fi televisions large bathrooms equipped with hairdryers fine toiletries fluffy towels and bathrobes. All of our rooms have their own fireplace. Newspapers are provided each morning. Guests can enjoy afternoon treats in our Secret Garden with port wine or tea available fireside or outside in our private walled-in garden. Breakfast is our Specialty. A large English breakfast is served buffet-style every morning. Coffee and teas are up by 700 a.m. Guests are treated to a hearty array of homemade granola fresh baked breads yogurt juices breakfast meats egg dishes Belgian waffles fruit compotes and more.
