Property Description
A heritage lodge nestled by a geologic wonder the Chateau at Oregon Caves retains the peace and charm of a bygone era. Sheathed in Port Orford cedar it spans a wooded ravine and stands in harmony with its surroundings. Cave Creek flows from unusual marble caverns to cascade into a reflecting pool then through the Chateaus lower level and down the ravine. Architect Gust Liums building is hailed as a rustic post and beam masterpiece with a grand staircase an intimate lobby that invites relaxation by the massive fireplace original light sconces and unique architectural details throughout. A Gift Gallery features talented artisans of regional renown. Guided tours in summer months. Reduced rates May June September and October.
