Property Description
The story of Robin Hood Village began with the dream of an artist named Don Beckman. Don happened to have designed the Hollywood set for the original movie Adventures of Robin Hood with Errol Flynn. On a visit to the Hood Canal in the 1930s it was easy for him to visualize this quaint little village in the woods. Here on this forested property with a salmon bearing creek nestled in the trees and surrounded by snow capped mountains Don built five little cottages. Two of the original cottages remain today and are the treasures of this charming resort. Today almost 80 years later its fun to think about all of the thousands who have found their way to this spot and who have benefited from those who have cared about maintaining the original idea of creating a place where couples and families could enjoy the experience of relaxation and fun that are here to be savored in this beautiful setting that the natural elements of the Hood Canal provide.
