A Grand Tradition. A New Beginning. Montauk Yacht Club Resort is now open for the 2009 season! The Montauk Yacht Club Resort, featuring a full-service hotel and spa is located on the south fork of Long Island on the world famous Hamptons Beaches. The historic property celebrates its 80th anniversary in 2009 with over six million in completed improvements and renovations over the past 24 months. The Montauk Yacht Club is located in the hamlet of Montauk which is part of the Town of East Hampton. The Hamptons have always been known as the summer getaway for the rich and famous. Montauk offers that same sophisticated option but in a more casual setting. The Resort features a full Spa (SPA MYC), 107 Guest Rooms including Villa, Suite and Bungalow Accommodations. MYC is the Hamptons' only true full service resort. 232 Marina Slips are available to seasonal and transient boats and Mega Yachts alike. This historic property, whose membership included J.P. Morgan Jr., John Jacob Astor and Frank Nelson Doubleday, is open to the public. Charles Lindberg used to fly his seaplane into the Yacht Club. The resort offers 2 outdoor pools, 1 indoor pool, 4 saunas and a full fitness center. Montauk Yacht Club has more than 10 rooms for meetings, weddings and private events accommodating up to 225ppl. There are also over 34 acres of outdoor space including the Great Lawn where we can do Tented Events for up to 1,000 ppl. Guests enjoy concierge service, pool side towel service, a private lake beach, complimentary shuttle, and parking passes to nearby ocean beaches. Charter Yacht and Fishing Boats are available for hire at our docks. Each of our rooms is equipped with either 1 king bed or 2 double beds. Rooms can be requested to be connecting. Rooms feature Flat Panel LCD Color cable TV, Wireless Internet Access, Keurig Coffee Maker, Hair dryer, Refrigerator, Iron, and Ironing Board. All our rooms are air-conditioned and heated. Montauk Yacht Club is a Three Season Property with a Peak Summer and incredible Spring and Fall. From New York City/Manhattan and its major airports La Guardia(LGA) and John F. Kennedy(JFK) Take I-495, the Long Island Expressway(LIE). Eastbound to exit 70 County Road 111 south approximately 7 miles to Route 27 (Montauk Highway) East to Montauk. Proceed on 27 East, through Southampton, Bridgehampton and Amagansett until the village of Montauk, past the gazebo, up the hill, past the library. Just past points of interest. Sign says 'Ferries' on the left is junction with County Road 77 West Lake Drive. Make a left onto CR77. Go approximately 1.5 miles to 30 mph speed limit sign, and make the immediate right onto Star Island Road. Pass through the historic stone pillars. The Hotel is approximately 200 yards on the right hand side. It can easily be identified by its own copper topped Lighthouse which is a smaller replica of Montauks's Historic Lighthouse.
Montauk Yacht Club is located on Lake Montauk in the Harbor Area of Montauk. The property is just past the village of Montauk and to the north on a small island known as 'Star Island'. For those familiar with the area, Star Island can be seen directly across from the docks of Gossmans. The Montauk Yacht Club is conveniently located on the water with incredible views. The property is less than a mile from the pristine ocean beaches of the Hamptons and Long Island's south fork. Montauk is less than 30 minutes from the world renowned shopping of East Hampton - where a wealth of shopping, dining and entertainment can be found. By Boat - Montauk is in close proximity to Gardiner's Island and Block Island. Ferry Service is available to/from Block Island, New London, CT and Martha's Vineyard (Subject to Schedule)
