On a cool mourning or evening it is not unusual to see a 6 or 8 point buck out behind the property watching over his harem as they nibble on the rich green farm grass. Salida is one of the most scenic and attractive recreation areas in the U.S. An outdoor enthusiasts paradise. From snow skiing in winter to white water rafting in summer to Mountain Climbing and Hiking/ Mountain Biking/ Four Wheeling off the beaten path in any one of the beautiful and majestic fourteeners that surround the town. This friendly little town is truly in the Heart of the Rockys. Whether your interests lie in Ziplining in the Royal Gorge/ hiking and climbing up Mt Antero to find gems/ Mt. Climbing any one of the other fourteeners/ or white water river rafting at Browns Canyon with River Runners/ let us assist you in finding the best value for your dollar. If you have more relaxing interests like some of the Colorado hot springs resorts/ there are several within a 30 minute drive of Salida including the Mount Princeton hot springs. A stay with us is a great start to a great vacation.
