The historic Gwins Lodge is located in the middle of Alaskas Kenai Peninsula known as Alaskas Playground. We are at milepost 52 on the Sterling Highway a short and scenic twohour drive south from the Anchorage airport. Gwins Lodge is the closest lodging near the confluence of two worldclass salmon streams the Kenai River and the Russian River and we are a favorite among fishers that frequent these waters. The amazing turquoise blue waters of the Kenai River and the crystal clear waters of the Russian River are home to Sockeye Salmon Silver Salmon King Salmon Dolly Varden and Rainbow Trout. This combined with the breathtaking forest rivers lakes mountains beaches and abundant wildlife make the Kenai Peninsula a sportsmans paradise and an outdoor persons perfect vacation getaway.. Gwins Lodge has 12 cabins that can each accommodate 4 to to 6 guests and two cottage houses that can each accommodate 8 to 10 guests.
