The Pine Barn Inn thrives on hospitality in the tradition of early innkeeping. Pleasant lodgings a rustic tavern and various cheerful dining rooms combine with a standard for delicious food and excellent service. The exposed stone walls and antique posts and beams in the dining rooms date back to the 19th century when this typical German bank barn was built on one of Danvilles earliest farms. In business for over 60 years and offering comfortable clean accommodations in two newer buildings adjacent to the charming barn the Pine Barn Inn is the premier fullservice hotel in the Danville PA area. The Pine Barn Inn is located immediately below the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville PA with our restaurant tavern and hotel front desk in the renovated barn that served the 260 acres of fruit and dairy farms which encompassed much of the land now occupied by the Geisinger Medical Center. When Geisinger was founded this barn served as the stable at which many of the original physicians boarded their horses during their work hours. Today the Pine Barn Inn is a modern comfortable 99room Inn. All rooms at the Inn are nonsmoking and feature free WiFi refrigerators flat screen TVs irons and boards hair dryers individually controlled air conditioning and heat and excellent housekeeping service. The Pine Barn Inn also features a first class restaurant and tavern serving the best food from early morning until late at night with room service available during all restaurant hours. A new 225seat banquet hall styled after the original barn offers the capability of hosting much larger groups for conferences weddings and reunions. For the convenience of our guests visiting Geisinger a shuttle is available weekdays or the hospital is less than a 5 minute walk across a covered bridge and up the hill. The Knoebels Grove Amusement Resort is just a 15 minute drive away while Bloomsburg Susquehanna and Bucknell Universities are all nearby.
