The Terrace Inn and 1911 Restaurant is located in Bay View Association, a historic area established in the 1875 along the shores of Lake Michigan, one of the Great Lakes. The Inn was built in 1911 and 37 rooms with private baths, cable tv, air conditioning, clock radio, and some with wifi. Rooms range from simple and cozy qith 2 twin beds or 1 queen bed, to suites with 1 queen or 1 king bed. Most accommodate 2, some can add a rollaway. All include daily maid service and hot breakfast. The attached restaurant .. th 1911.. serves dinner daily June through Labor Day, during Bay View's concert season. A charming Tea Room is downstairs serving lunch and brewed teas in antique teapots. Fare is fresh, seasonal, and a popular entree is fresh caught planked whitefish or perch, angus steak cooked to order, chicken hemingway . all prepared from scratch. Over 100 wines, beers and cocktails too!

Petoskey is a Lake Michigan resort town on the Northwest side of Michigan's lower peninsula. It is 35 miles south of the ferries to Mackinac Island. The Inn is located inside Bay View, a Victorian Chautauqua community and National Historic Landmark. The Inn is open to the public and Bay View is open to the public for concerts and live theatre in the summer. It is a music campus and residency to live here is May through October. The Inn is open year round for visitors to enjoy the area which has lake activities in summer, kayaking, fishing, canoeing, and biking and fall color as well as the best downhill skiing resorts in Michigan within 9 miles of the Inn. The Inn hosts murder mystery, paranormal festival, dixieland jazz, country dance, and other events and the Art Center downtown Petoskey has year round events also.
