This 1960s era renovated family motel was featured in TRAVEL+LEISURE in Affordable Beach Resorts 2009. The ocean is just 500 feet from a Top 10 Winner of Americas Best Beaches 2009, and is awarded AAA Three Diamonds. Rated highly recommended by Frommers, our eight room smoke-free Inn, is located in the historic Village of Buxton, near the famous Cape Hatteras Lighthouse. Walk a short distance to shops for beach supplies, gifts, clothing, kiteboarding, surfing, fishing, windsurfing, books, and great restaurants. Buxton is surrounded by Cape Hatteras National Seashore with miles of undeveloped beaches. Rooms are named after famous hurricanes and each has its own private entrance, bath, flat screen cable TV, small refrigerator, coffee, and tea set-ups. Some rooms have microwave ovens. Rooms have either a king bed, a queen bed, two double beds or a queen bed efficiency with a queen sofa bed.
