Since opening in 1769, The Equinox Golf Resort & Spa is perhaps the best witness to the well documented history of Manchester. In its early days, the town was almost exclusively known as a playground for the rich and famous, with the Equinox as its distinguished centerpiece. The hotel is still the epicenter of this elegant and affluent village. The Equinox Golf Club is within steps of the hotel and its marble sidewalks. The Southern Vermont Arts Center is also a Manchester landmark and is more than worthy of a visit.
