About the pass punt and kick contest held there in the early and mid 1970s, and the boy's and girls club of Valdosta, Georgia. The football and football related activities were a very big part of the community and from my understanding it still is! I was a participant in those strength building events. Thanks to a coach John Bennett, and a young Jack Cook who graduated from Lowndes County High Scholl right around that time, But the biggest praise goes out to my uncle Clifford Bradley who was a star football player at Valdosta High School, Clifford Bradley was a graduate of Valdosta High School in 1972. Thanks to the personal interest in my playing football that Clifford took in me helped me with discipline for life.

Parnell Bee and myself exploded the interest of midget leage football at the boy's club during those wonderful times. John Bennett who later became a science teacher at Valdosta Jr.High had taking an interest in a little boy named Ronald Walton. Once Walton reached what is now called Valdosta Middle school his parents moved him to California where he further his love of the game. For some closer related info: search the archives on Valdosta's rich sports past. Start by looking up football in the early 1970s up till 1979, you will find stories on these people and more.
