When i was young i lived in stringtown my dad Arnold Sisson helped to build the Shasta dam, but i'm not sure if that is where stringtown and old trinity center is now, under shasta lake, i was only five at the time.all of the homes were moved out of stringtown and sent too old trinity center there was a little red school house the teachers name was Mrs Copeland she was a widow and she lived in the back of the school, and taught piano, my sister took piano lessens from her. Our sheriffs name was CW at least thats what everyone called him. Kathy Glasburn baby sat us i beleive she was seventeen at the time. The Macdonalds also lived there, Becky macdonald was my sisters best friend, she had a brother named randy. There was a community hall were all town events took place. Soon all the buildings were moved out and moved into New Trinity Center. because stringtown and Old trinity center were flooded and are now under water. I was told the mountain we used to get from place to place was called the old buckhorn mountain it was a one lane mountain road if you got caught comming down or going up that mountain and met up with another car, someone was going to back up to there beginning. It was the scariest mountain i have ever been on. It was steep. a mountain side on one side and a cliff on the other.I watched along with all the towns people as the big trucks moving our house and all of the buildings came into Trinity center. approx. in 1958 - Sandra Sisson, Dunham
